Australian fashion designer and disability advocate Penny Weber has produced what are, according to Inside Retail, the country’s first ‘Seated Jeans’ sporting a velcro closure, high back and shortened leg shape. “These adjustments ensure the jeans are comfortable for people who spend long periods of time in one position,” Weber said. “These look just like everyday jeans, but they are thoughtfully, sustainably and locally made.” The Seated Jeans are now available for pre-order from Weber’s adaptable fashion line, The Shapes United. Additional features such as a push-stud opening, side zips, or catheter access can also be requested.
